At the indicated time, we’ll pick you up at your hotel in Cairo and drive to the Bahariya Oasis, located about 4 hours from the Egyptian capital.
Once we arrive at this oasis, we’ll embark on a 4×4 tour of the White Desert National Park. Although the snowy colour predominates in this protected natural space, we’ll start in a darker area – the fascinating so-called Black Desert.
We’ll continue our tour in the town of El-Hez, where we’ll stop off to grab some lunch. Once we’ve refuelled, we’ll continue on to the area of Aqapat, where we’ll discover the landscapes of the White Desert Natural Park and its wonderful limestone rock formations.
Here, we’ll encounter the famous Crystal Mountain, a unique ridge structure composed of small quartz fragments that shimmer in the sunlight. After taking some time to observe this natural wonder, we’ll head to our desert camp for some dinner and an overnight stay.
After having breakfast at camp, we’ll return by 4×4 to the Bahariya Oasis, where our transport back to Cairo will be waiting for us. We’ll make a brief stop about halfway through our trip and finally arrive at around 5 pm at your hotel in Cairo.
